Please read these terms before using hkbcc.com. By using this website you agree to them. The Chinese version (使用條款及免責聲明) prevails if the two differ.

Everything on this website, including the search tools, fire installation and licensing explainers, 3D minor works drawings, shop-opening guides, articles and summaries of government data, is general information. It is not legal or professional advice and does not represent the approval or view of any government department.

Confirm before you act

Laws, codes of practice, practice notes and licensing requirements change, and the actual requirements for any premises are decided by the relevant department case by case. Before signing a lease, designing, building or applying, check your own case with HKBCC, an Authorized Person (AP), a Registered Structural Engineer (RSE), a registered contractor or a lawyer, and follow the department’s written requirements.

Drawings and accuracy

Plans and 2.5D/3D drawings on this website are illustrations, not to scale, and must not be used for submissions or construction. We check our content and show official sources and check dates, but we do not guarantee that everything is complete, accurate or up to date. If you spot an error, please email [email protected].

Government data and external links

Government open data is shown as published by the source and may contain omissions, delays or errors; the department’s latest records prevail. External websites are run by third parties and we are not responsible for their content.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HKBCC and its service brands are not liable for any decision or action taken, or any loss or damage arising, from relying on this website alone. Advice and responsibility for an individual enquiry or service are as set out in the quotation or contract agreed separately.

Do not copy, republish, modify or use them commercially without written permission. You may share links, or quote short extracts with credit and a link. Government documents and data remain the copyright of the departments concerned; some photos are used under their owners’ licences.

Automated collection and AI

Without written permission, you may not collect content from this website in bulk by automated means or use it to train artificial intelligence models. Search engines and AI search services may index this website to provide search results, provided they link back when citing it.
